Our Story

It began with a question that wouldn’t go away:
“What if help never comes?”
In many parts of Ghana, that question isn’t theoretical—it’s reality.
Someone collapses. A child chokes. A woman bleeds.
And in that critical moment, there’s panic… but no plan.
Not because people don’t care—but because they were never taught what to do.
That’s where PULSE comes in.
PULSE was created to fill the space between emergency and response.
To take lifesaving knowledge out of hospitals and put it into homes, schools, churches, and marketplaces into the hands of everyday people.
We believe that the power to save a life shouldn’t depend on location.
It should depend on preparation.
Through hands-on first aid training, community outreach, and culturally rooted health education, PULSE gives people what they’ve always deserved: the chance to act, the chance to help, the chance to save.

Meet the founder
Kate Amo - Ameyaw
Founder & CEO, ADVOCATE
Kate is a passionate healthcare professional with roots in Ghana and a heart for change. Now living in Canada, she works as a registered nurse yet her heart has never drifted far from home.
“Every time I look back, I’m reminded of the urgent gaps in access, education, and emergency care that still exist in Ghana. I couldn’t just stand by.”
From this deep burden, PULSE was born.
More than a project, PULSE is a calling. Through this initiative, Kate is bridging two worlds—bringing the knowledge and opportunities she’s gained abroad to empower the communities that shaped her.
She leads PULSE with compassion, clinical insight, and an unshakable belief that every Ghanaian deserves the chance to save a life and be saved. Whether it’s teaching CPR in rural schools or raising awareness in villages, her goal is clear:
